Mary Allene Lynch, 88, of Licking passed away on August 17, 2025, in Springfield, MO. Allene was born on May 11, 1937, in rural Texas County to Thomas Henry Bogart and Dorothy Dean (Floyd) Bogart.
Allene graduated from Licking High School in 1955. She worked as an administrator in Civil Service at Ft. Leonard Wood, retiring after 35 years of service. Allene married Howard Lynch on August 21, 1959. She enjoyed the beauty of nature, including gardening, flowers, and bird watching. She was an avid reader and enjoyed trying foods from different cultures, new adventures, and tour bus adventures.
As a teenager, Allene was baptized in Pigeon Creek, near Montauk. Throughout her lifetime she attended Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, and Assembly of God churches.
Allene is survived by her children, Howard Lynch Jr., Carolyn Lynch, Marilyn Lynch, Mike Washburn, and Lisa Washburn; and grandson, Gabriel Butler. Allene preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lynch; and was the last of her five siblings, Margaret, Russell, William, and Carl.
Allene will be remembered as a wonderful mother and friend.
