Obituary of Paul Joseph Blue Sr.

Paul J. Blue Sr, age 58, son of Lawrence J. Blue and Linda Kay (Reando) was born on November 15, 1966. He passed away on September 14, 2025, at Missouri University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Paul is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Betty A. Blue; and two brothers, Eric and Jesse. He is survived by his wife Linda of Licking, MO; three sons, Jacob (Katie), Paul, and Austin, all of Rolla, MO; two brothers, Billy Horn (Cindy) of Cuba, MO, and Bobby Horn and wife of Columbia, MO; one sister, Zella Kitowski of Park Hills, MO; three grandsons, Reid, Ford, and Silas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paul married his wife, Linda, on September 17, 1999, and together they raised their three sons. Paul proudly served his country for twenty-one years. A short period of that time was spent in the U.S. Navy on the USS San Jacinto. After a break, he joined the Missouri Army National Guard, during which time he was deployed and did an eighteen-month tour in Iraq (during Operation Iraq Freedom). He retired in September of 2016. Paul enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved traveling. He loved farm life. He was a good friend to many people and always willing to help anyone in any way he could. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. A memorial service for Paul will take place Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Let It Flow Evangelism Church in Rolla. A visitation will take place one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Let It Flow Evangelism Church, in loving memory of Paul.
