Obituary of Jessie M. Stone

Jessie M. Stone, daughter of Clifton G. and Pearl R. (Craddock) Edgar, was born March 3, 1922, near Edgar Springs, Mo. She passed away June 15, 2013, at Licking Park Manor. She was united in marriage to Ralph Stone of Licking, Mo. To this union, three boys were born: Gerald, Ronald, and Donald. She is survived by Gerald and Janice Stone and grandson Mike of Licking; Ronald and Mary Stone of Hollister, Mo. and granddaughters Amanda and husband Daniel Sanders of Marionville, Mo., and Amelia and husband Tim Allen and great-grandson Mason Leon of Galena, Mo; Donald and Twyla Stone and grandchildren Jason and wife Barbara Stone and great-granddaughter Morgan Madison of Licking, and Erin and husband Derek Norris and great-granddaughters Caitlyn Brie and Ellie Grace of Sparta, Mo.; and two sisters-in-Iaw, Mary Edgar of Overland, Mo., and Ina Hagler of Licking; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Ralph; her sisters, Fern and husband Glen Kinder and son David of Overland, Mo., Lois and husband Stan Meyer of Greenville, III., and Velma and husband Charles Kofahl of Licking; one brother, William Edgar of Overland, Mo.; and one brother-in-law, Gene Hagler, of Licking. Jessie was a lifelong member of the Licking Assembly of God. She was a very kind person, a loving mother and grandmother, and a very hard worker. Her occupations during her later years were housekeeper and babysitter for other families. She resided at the family farm, where she enjoyed gardening and spending time with family until health issues caused her to move to Licking Residential Center in 2005. For the last several years, she has been a resident of Licking Park Manor.
