On May 5, 2014, Alma (Jones) Buckner went into a peaceful rest. Alma was born on September 13, 1923 in Dixon, Missouri, the daughter of Ollie and Ray Jones. She met her husband, Cecil Buckner at the Small Arms plant in St. Louis, Missouri where they both worked, and they were united in marriage on April 23, 1944.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, of more than fifty years; sons Clifford and Ron; siblings Thurman, Clyde, Seldon, Jesse, and Maude.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (late Kenneth) Marler, and son Jerry (Cheri); sister, Birtha McWilliams; grandchildren, Patricia (Dan) Rathmann, Pamela (Bob) Biehle, Jeffrey (Debbie), Dennis, Bobbi (Adam) Bentz, Brandon (Mariah) and Brenda (Matt) Oujiri; twelve great- grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Evy Buckner, Laverne Sneed, Marie and Gale Thomas, Helen Chapman and Lloyd Buckner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
