William Douglas Dewhirst was born July 3, 1952 in Eugene, Oregon and passed away July 27, 2016 at peace with God to join his father and brother.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Katherine; his sister, Anita Long and her husband, Lowell and their son, Ronald and his family, Robert, Robin and Myka; his sister-in-law, Toni and her family, Edward J., Jennifer, Todd, Courtney, Laureen, Jared and Rowen; and a special friend, Rita Carlock whom did a great job.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving overseas in Europe.
Doug worked for the city of Kansas City and retired from there working at the city tow lot. His special interests were plants, crafts and music.
Those who knew him will miss him. His love reached many.
