Obituary of Anna Mary Heavin

Anna Mary Marsh Heavin, 95 years 5 months of age, left this life to be with her Lord and Savior
on November 7, 2016. She passed away at the Licking Park Manor after a brief stay. She was
born at Yancy Mills, MO on May 28, 1921 and married Wayne Arthur Heavin on September 22,
1945, to this union 2 children were born.
She is survived by her children, Gerald L. Heavin and wife Dee and Linda Heavin Miller, and
husband Larry; grandchildren Becky Miller, Lisa Miller, James Heavin, Geoffrey Heavin, Daniel
Heavin, Jill Ann Heavin, Kimber Lee Rutledge Barnum Sam Rutlege (deceased); great-
grandchildren Courtney Coyne, Ross and Zoey Sutton, Benjamin Rutledge, Brayden Heavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents George Marsh and Dora Mae(Baker) Marsh, her
husband Wayne; one brother Gerald Marsh.
Anna May enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, fishing, cooking and baking, teaching
Sunday School, and her school students, working in the Church of Christ Sonshine and Rainbow
Day School, watching Andy Griffin shows and watching and listening to southern gospel music
videos. Her greatest love was service to her Lord, spending time with her family followed by
sewing bibs, pillow case dresses and making quilts for nursing homes and missions.
She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend with life-long service and
gifts to her church.
She was a longtime member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church and later the First Baptist
Church of Licking, also, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Missouri
Retired Teachers Association.
Service will be held Thursday, November 10,2016, 1:00 P.M., Fox Chapel with Pastor Mike
Gorman and Pastor Lloyd Heavin officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Marsh, Richard Bates,
Gary Heavin, James Heavin, Kevin Overmyer and Benny Sutton. Honorary pallbearers were:
Brayden Heavin, Benjamin Rutledge, Larry Keaton and Ross Sutton.
