I guess it has been rough for everyone this year. I have been in new orleans since February, had 7 major surgeries, got home for the first time september 15th, only saw my son 5 times for a few minutes in this time. lived thru ICU again which made it 17 surgeries i have had since age 30. been told to get a box 6 of those times.
It still does not compare to what has happened to your family. I am still and always have been a loner but loved Cynthia in my special way and loved sitting back and watching her grow up and complete goals as she did so. I asked her every year to come visit at my expense but motherhood kept her to maybe before long for sure.
I am not sure what happened but know it was terrible. If you want to talk i will listen but also realize i have no say so in the family business. As for ben and andrew They are always welcome to call, write, or visit. I am not the greatest guy in the world but believe to treat others as they you. not to lie, cheat or steal and raise my son in the same manner. It has been a long journey with him with ADHD and ADD. the unknow knowledge is excrutiating pain when it comes to helping him cope in this world. He is doing well as we speak and i have high hopes for his future if he continues.
Teresa your maturity in our relationship overwhelmed me when we finally spoke about it. i wish i had it to do over but my wild spirit i could not change at that time. I wish you all well but realize more than most how cruel and unexpecting life can be. All i know to tell you is you have to get up and keep on going. my motto has always been " If you cant beat them, beat them" if you want to talk call, if not that is ok also.
My computer has been broken since march, and this one is 5 days old. i found this message tonight while trying to clean up 299 e mail messages. It was from my ex wife to my son and i happened to click on it before deleting it.
As for Andrew and Ben remember the motto; for a better day will come along soon. Time is on your side and wounds will heal. Just keep getting up and not quitting. Cecil

My deepest condolences. I worked with Cynthia as a CNA at TCMH. We would car pull to work together. We would jam out to music at 6am on our way to work to wake up and be pumped to work those long 12 hours together. She made working fun. She cared so much for everyone. She spoke so highly of Ben and Andrew her eyes would light up just stating their names. There are no words to heal hearts. Just hold on tight to all the memories and to ones you learn about her. She was a great woman and is greatly missed!

I am truly sorry to hear of Cynthia's passing. I can't imagine what your family is going through. I never met Cynthia but I talked to her on the phone on a daily basis and she was always pleasant and helpful! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Heidi Brooks
