Obituary of Martin Wayne Booker

Martin “Marty” Wayne Booker was born February 22, 1963 in Houston, MO to Richard “Cotton” Wayne Booker and Alma Jean (Hood) Booker. Marty went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27th, 2014. Marty was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Lynn Booker; paternal grandparents, Martin “Bud” and MaryBell Booker; and maternal grandparents, Doyle and Ola Mae Hood. He is survived by his parents Cotton and Alma Booker; stepmother, Roma Booker; one brother, Stevie Lynn Booker and wife, Debbie; four sons: Aaron Willbanks and wife, Amanda; Nick Myers and wife, Felecia; Andrew Booker & Ryan Booker; seven grandchildren: McKenzie, Brayden, and Taylor Willbanks; Cole and Mason Myers; Madalynn and James Booker; one nephew: Josh Vaughan; one niece, Brandi Smith and husband, Ethan; one great-niece, Riverlynn Vaughan; one great-nephew, Tyler Wayne Smith; along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Marty’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend his time passing his knowledge of hunting and fishing to the younger generation. He spent a lot of his time guiding hunting and fishing trips throughout the year when he was not doing what he loved the most, which was logging in the woods. One of his favorite hobbies was making (but not consuming) moonshine with his brother. He also liked to load up in his truck and hit the back roads. Marty was well known and very well liked in the community. He never met a stranger and never missed a chance to stop and say, “Hi” or to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He will be forever missed by all.
