Richard Andrew Roberts was born November 26, 1921 in Lenox,MO to the late James Carroll Roberts and Emma Margaret Mace. He passed away December 27,2014 at Licking Park Manor.
Richard married Virginia Young on December 22, 1945.
Richard is survived by his son Jimmy L. Roberts and wife Terry. He was blessed with nine beloved grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Jerry, daughter Kathy Brown, daughter-in-law Mary, granddaughter Leasha (Roberts)Deleski; brother Willie, sisters Melba Steward, Annie Greiwe and Velma Wofford.
Richard was baptized in 1952 at Licking Baptist Church. He was a school teacher; he first started teaching at Roseberry in 1943 then Concord near Maples ,Green Hill south of Houston, Evening Shade in Phelps County, Crow at Kimble Road, Rambo near Edgar Springs, Raymondville where he was also acting Principal he also substituted at Licking School he moved to St. Louis at Howe District School until he had to take early retirement. Upon retirement he moved back to Maples,MO.
He was an avid Cardinal fan and spent hours watching games on TV with his son Jimmy.
