Obituary of Lolita M. Kohenskey
Lolita Mae Kohenskey, age 68, was born March 23, 1950 in Duke, Missouri to William and Nellie Curtis. She passed away on January 13, 2019 in her home with her family by her side in Edgar Springs, Missouri. Lolita married Orval V. Kohenskey on August 12, 1967; to this union two sons were born.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Roberta and Betty, and five brothers; Delbert, Orville, Alonzo, Paul, and Everett.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Orval of Edgar Springs, two sons; Kevin and wife, Michelle of Edgar Springs, and Michael and Clara Burgdorf of Edgar Springs; three brothers, Jurl and wife, Betty of Mexico, Missouri, Johnnie and wife, Darlene of Duke, Missouri, and Bill and wife, Ruby of Duke, Missouri; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lolita loved going to church and singing for the Lord. She greatly enjoyed singing with Kathy Sharp and Patsy Grace at different churches and events. She loved spending time and doing things with her family. She also loved riding around with Orval, especially in their Polaris. She found great joy in her bird and being outside taking care of her garden, flowers, chickens, cows, and all the animals on the farm. Lolita also enjoyed going fishing and spending time at the lake and river playing in the water.
Lolita will be greatly missed by loved ones and a host of friends.
Services for Lolita will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home in Licking, with a Visitation starting at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Brother Lonnie Case will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Daniel Kohenskey, Brandon Kohenskey, Jerry Curtis, J.T. Curtis, Carlton Curtis, Orval Curtis Jr. with Robert Kohenskey as an Honorary Pallbearer.
