Obituary of James T Davis

James T. Davis son of Esco and Elsie (Spencer) Davis was born on February 29th, 1936 at Ashley Creek. He was called to the Lord on January 23rd, 2019 while at TCMH.

Jim was raised on the family farm at Ashley Creek. He attended the University of Missouri for two years. From there he and some of his buddies worked their way to the West Coast. When he returned home, he worked for the highway department for 5 years. He then went to work for Intercounty Electric as an Engineer for 39 years. After retiring from Intercounty he did pole inspections for them for 10 years.

Jim was a hard worker, he always believed in working hard for what you got. While working at Intercounty he decided to instill his work ethic in his children, so he purchased an Ice Business and a Woodlot at Montauk for Jimmy Ray, Diana, Kelly and Shelly to work for the summer.

In 1977 he was united in marriage to Vicki (Wells) Bean from her he inherited two daughters Kelly and Shelly. From a previous marriage to Freda Boren were born two children Jimmy Ray and Diana Kay.

He was preceded in death by his father, Esco Davis; his mother, Elsie Davis; and his son, Jimmy Ray Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Vicki of Licking; one daughter, Diana (Davis) Blackburn husband Denny of Houston, MO; two step daughters, Kelly (Bean) Kinder and husband Jeff of Licking and Shelly (Bean) Wiseman and husband Darian of Licking; grandchildren, Josh Kinder, Jessica Davis, Jason Davis, Kayla Evans, Zach Walker, Dustin Blackburn and Sara. Cummins.; great grandchildren, Maggie Babayco, Jordan Kinder, Ryder Evans, Paislee Kinder, Jase Walker, Maxten Evans, Charlie Maedgen, Emryn Walker, Easton Davis, and Wyatt Davis; one sister, Maudeline (Davis)Maxwell of Houston, MO; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

His favorite thing in his life was his family, fishing and the lottery (scratchers). He dedicated his life to the Lord as a young child.

Jim was an amazing Husband, Dad, Step-Dad, brother, uncle and son. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored him.
