Obituary of Waylon Jamison Storm
Waylon was born 10 weeks early in Columbia and spent the next 10 weeks fighting every step of the way. Having three surgeries and tons of extra medical support. He also had some great weeks with hardly any support which allowed his family to hold him and give him their love. Waylon had the Women’s and Children’s Hospital NICU staff who stepped up and loved him. They also became attached to him. He had two special nurses, Hannah and Karissa, who loved him and became his primary caregivers.
Waylon is survived by his parents, Joshua D. Storm and Melissa A. Gentry of Raymondville; sister, Emma M. Sanders; brothers, Bryson A. Storm and Isaac D. Storm; grandparents, Darrell “Buck” and Suanne Storm of Licking and Sonja Gentry and OB Anderson of Grass Valley, CA; uncles, Terry W. Storm and Wilford H. Storm of Licking, Nathaniel R. Storm (Stephanie) of Auxvasse, MO; aunt, Rebekah L. Julian (Paul) of Auburn, CA; and many great uncles and aunts and numerous friends and family.
A visitation for Waylon was held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St, Licking, MO. Funeral services were Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Fox Funeral Home, with Mr. David Simmons officiating. Interment followed at the Licking Cemetery. Followed by a potluck lunch at the Deer Lick Park, please bring a dish to share!
