Obituary of Betty Sue Wofford

Betty Sue Wofford, 91, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Licking, passed away September 28, 2020 at her home. Betty was born on August 27, 1929 in Jasper, AL to Luther and Augusta (Jones) Wilson. Betty had two sisters and one brother. In high school Betty ran track and was captain of the cheerleading squad. She still holds the 50-yard dash record at Sparta High School in Sparta, IL. Betty was a homemaker; she enjoyed gardening, golf, church, vacations, and spending time with her grandchildren. For 60 years Betty was married to Obe Wofford. He preceded in her death in 2009. Betty liked to vacation in Lake Havasu, AZ during the winter months, where she enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends. Betty is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bertani; granddaughters, Angelina Deweese, Andreana Bertani, and Amanda Dunavant; sister in law, Marie Urban; and four great grandchildren. Betty had a lot of grace and grit. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. She was the world’s best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
