Obituary of James David VanKirk

James David Van Kirk, was born in Rolla, MO, on April 2, 1941, to Robert Gerald Van Kirk and Francis Lewellyn (Humphrey) Van Kirk. He passed from this world on March 16, 2015, at his home in Licking, MO, at the age of73. James David was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David Van Kirk, one brother Kenneth Van Kirk, and one daughter-in-law Faith Van Kirk. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Van Kirk, and son, Robert Van Kirk, of the home, daughter, Betty Goins and her partner, Bill Haley, of Eldon, MO, son James Van Kirk and his wife, Leah Van ' Kirk of Newburg, MO, daughter Ricki Fudge and her partner, Michael Jones, of Columbia, MO, and son Matthew Van Kirk, and his partner Anda Zieger, of Rolla, MO; his five sisters, Bobette Buck, Sharon Van Kirk, Geraldine Andres, Molly Gann, Jenee Brown, and his brother Jimmy Pratz; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson. James David enjoyed all things artistic, from playing lead guitar and singing in multiple bands over the years to working with wood and painting pictures. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, or taking nature walks where he found and studied wild plants. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all that knew him.
