I first met John through Greg Armstrong and his family who lived with him for many years. Greg, my brother Darrell, and later our friend Eric grew up together from elementary school to high school graduation. The four of us have remained fast friends throughout the years and because of this, we were lucky enough to get to know John.
John was the hardest working person I know and was always kind and humble toward people, even when he did not have to be. I was a benefit of his advise and kindness during my high school years and always enjoyed talking to him. Looking back, I should have visited him more often and will surely miss his smile.
