Obituary of Mitchell Dewayne Fall

Please share a memory of Mitchell to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mitchell Dewayne Fall, age 67, went to heaven August 18, 2024 in St, Louis, Missouri. Born December 28, 1956 in Verdes, France to Omar Fall and Anna Hill. Mitch was a Marine who continued to wake up before the sun every morning between 3:30 and 4:00 AM and would watch the sun rise every day. He loved the Lord and his loving wife, Patricia. In 2002 Mitch rededicated his life to Jesus and followed hard after God. He overcame many obstacles in his life, including battling Alpha-1 from the time of his diagnosis in his early 30’s. Even though Mitch struggled with his health, he fought through the challenges and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Gerontology. His degree afforded him the ability to serve as an administrator in long-term care homes. In 2009 Mitch underwent a double lung transplant giving him fifteen more years with his family. God honored his faith and willingness to make each day count. He loved his family and was an example of love and selflessness. Mitch was a true servant of Christ. He fought the good fight of true faith. He gave himself to his family and others, and never held back. Mitch loved fishing, hunting, cooking, reading, and driving back roads. He loved his boat and being on the water. But he loved Jesus Christ and his family the most. Mitch is preceded in death by his parents, Omar Fall and Anna Hill; and one brother, Morris Fall. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fall; children, Dale Fall, Jason Fall (Amanda), Joey Hipkins (Tracy), Michael Hipkins, Shenelle Karnes (Craig), Charissa McConnell (Chris); siblings, Mary McCann (George), Michael Fall, Tommy Hill, Tina Hill, and Teresa Hill; and ten grandchildren. Mitch will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation for Mitch will take place Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hutchason Cemetery. Memorial contributions may go to the Alpha-1 Foundation in loving memory of Mitch at alpha1.org.
