It has been many years since I last saw Mr. Edwards but old friends are never forgotten. I want to extend my deepest condolences to everyone in the family as I know how difficult it is to lose a father.
I am recovering from breaking my ankle and will not be there in person but, I will keep all of you in my prayers. I know this is a difficult time.
I want to share a brief story about my family when my own father passed away:
The entire family was at the visitation at the funeral home when my son, Rob, asked to speak with me. He was nine-years-old at the time.
He told me he felt bad. I assured him that was alright as his grandfather had died. He further explained that he felt bad because everyone was crying except for him. I said that was fine, that those who loved his grandfather would cry at times and laugh at times as they remembered special moments.
He continued and commented flatly, "Why are they crying? He is in heaven with Jesus". I was stunned with his faith and insight. I hugged him and said we were crying for our loss as we would miss him.
I hope you find peace in knowing Pug is in heaven with his Maker.
